Vintage pennant
bought for less than a dollar. sold for 21.99 free shipping
A mexican candle holder with a broken leg. bought for $3 BEFORE the leg was broken and sold for $19.99 plus shipping. The estate sale people packed it carelessly and the leg was broken before I unpacked the bag. I held on to it forever because of the broken leg and then finally listed it with its flaws. To my surprise it sold quickly even with a repaired leg.
My best sales weren't that great this week but I'm still glad for them and the other sales I had.
Great sales! That Mexican candle holder is so unusual. I've never seen anything like it.
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty unique. I couldn't find one like it on ebay that had the bull and the tree of life. If it hadn't been broken I would have tried to get $40 or $50 for it.
ReplyDeleteGreat sales! I love when you can still sell something with flaws!
ReplyDeleteYes I agree! I read on someone elses blog to "not fear the flaw" and have been trying to do just that. Not that I go out of my way to buy flawed merchandise but sometimes you miss a flaw and get home and see it then.
DeleteVery inspiring as always. I need to move a lot of items to eBay ASAP.
ReplyDeleteIt was a slow week. On its heels though I have had some great sales this week. It helped to calm the "nothing is selling" worries.
