So after much thought my interpretation is called 'the apple of my eye'. A face morphs into an apple with a cigarette in it's mouth which then becomes an apple core. Since the face has one eye I figured the other eye becomes the apple…The pattern repeats all over the fabric. I'm sure it means more than that…or maybe nothing at all! Just seems odd and somehow Dali-ish. Id love to hear what you think.
I was thinking of Eve and the apple, before and after. And I also thought of Dali!
ReplyDeleteHey, that's a good one.

ReplyDeleteI thought of the witch from Snow White and the poisoned apple. The cigarette is like the poisoned apple and then you turn into an apple core (recycled?)and go to Hawaii. That does look like the Hawaiian Islands, sorta. And yes Dali-ish.
ReplyDeleteLOL. That's great. I love the going to Hawaii part.
DeleteMy thoughts were the same as The Queen of Fifty Cents.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving all the replies. Would be cool if the designer of the print stopped by and filled us in. I wonder if drugs were involved...
DeleteThat is so freaky. I'm at a loss for words, but I do know that someone out there will love it.
ReplyDeleteFreaky is a good descriptor. If I had space left in the title I'd add that!
DeleteI was thinking Eve and the apple, but I like your interpretation of the apple of my eye :)
ReplyDeleteWell three for Eve, one for Snow White and one for Apple of my Eye. I think the Eve interpretation makes more sense the more I think about it. Smoking = Evil. Hmmm.
DeleteTo me it looks like the main character is the smoking apple. In a thought bubble above her head she thinks she's high fashion and "cool" because she's smoking but follow the path and in her future she's wasted away to just a core.
