Why is this still allowed?
Do you see what I see or rather what I don't see? I know it isn't a huge thing in the scheme of all things but as a bookseller I see a lot of this. I thought ebay no longer allowed a listing to be completed without at least one picture. For many book titles they even provide a catalog picture. So this irks me. When I list something if I forget to load the pictures and hit submit I get a message saying I have to load at least one picture. There are only 3 listings in my picture, but out of 33 sellers selling this book 8 didn't have a picture!! What? So are these old listings that are good till canceled? Are these preferred sellers? I don't know if this just happens in books but that is where I see it. Have you noticed this? What are your pet peeves about other sellers 'practices'? Ah. Thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Now I can go list :) After seeing what it sells for I won't be listing THIS book.
No measurements on used clothing. Laaaaazzzzzzzzy!
ReplyDeleteLOL. That used to be me! I learned along the way. I started out thinking the size was the size.
DeleteNo measurements of clothing, no description. Just the words great or excellent or whatever and only one picture.
ReplyDeleteHow do they ever sell anything if they don't describe it and have decent pictures?
geeze...take some pride in your listings
I know for me eBay pictures have been glitching a lot....I can't get away with no pictures either. Gone are the days of buying sight unseen :D I dislike "lots" where things are properly disclosed. Last year I bought a $1,500 lot of "American Girl" items to find more than half were Battat/My LIfe As/Our Generation/other knockoffs. (The lot really wasn't worth more than $700. The seller was beyond offended that I wasn't happy and when they were unwilling to make it right/accept returns I opened a claim. I got some horrible name-calling from them LOL. Oh and big sparkly graphics or colors etc in the description is annoying also.
ReplyDeleteare*not*properly disclosed. LOL
DeleteYes, pictures have been glitchy lately. Sometimes they show up and sometimes they don't. Last night, when many users were having trouble accessing eBay, I noticed quite a few missing photos. Thankfully, most of the time, they magically re-appear at some point. But yes, if a seller purposely didn't include any photos, that would bother me, and I wouldn't buy from them.
DeleteThere are certain book sellers that do this regularly.
DeleteBlurry photos or just one photo make me crazy. Also, I know this may be weird, but I don't like seeing a real person wearing the shirt I'm looking to buy. I know a lot of people model their clothing. I think a mannequin is better for this and for hair accessories as well.
ReplyDeleteI only like a real person modeling the clothes when they are a hot model type.
DeleteI was listing this morning and noticed someone had uploaded a picture of the words "photo coming soon". I thought that was a really tricky way to get around not having a photo!
