My Best Sales This Week

Sales picked up a little bit this week and I reached 630 listed inventory.  Is anyone else having super slow sales in Feb/March? Feel free to look at my store and offer advice. I'm working through listing low selling items that I purchased and moving forward listing more items that bring in a higher return on investment. I'm making good headway on listing old inventory. Welcome all tips.

Vintage Leisure Suit Jacket. Paid $1.50. Sold for $39.99 with free ship

Vintage Rainfair Overcoat New Old Stock. Paid $7. Took a best offer of $40 plus shipping

Scary Stories Books Lot. Paid $4.50. Sold for $29.99 with free shipping.

  1. My sales have been so slow this year compared to 2012 and 2013. I've heard other sellers are slow too so not sure what's going on. Hope it picks up soon!

    1. I hope it picks up too! I wasn't selling this time last year as I had a family crisis so I don't have anything to compare to from last year.

  3. That leisure suit sure takes me back. What a great find! But who is wearing that nowadays? I'd love to know.

    1. I'm guessing a party costume or for a play? Yeah, I don't think it's what the hipsters are wearing but I'm not a hipster so I could be wrong. LOL

    1. It took a while to sell but I had a feeling it would eventually. It was such a one of a kind item. When I saw it at the thrift store I knew I had to buy it.

  5. Last week was slow for me, but I only listed three new items. When I'm listing, I'm selling. You made a great profit on each of these items. I do believe you sold my dad's old blue leisure suit :)

    1. That's the thing…I've been listing every day and still I had two days in a row with zero sales. Sold a total of eleven things all week.

  6. this whole year has been crazy busy for me. I have already beat March's sales from last year...and there doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason to anything. I do know my items tend to rank pretty high on Cassini but I dont know why either ;/

    1. I had purchased two of the scary stories books at thrifts and when I looked them up to sell I saw how well the set sells. I hopped on Amazon at that point and bought the third to complete the set. There are different covers and it seems like the covers I had sell better. I read one of the stories inside. It wasn't scary at all but the illustrations hint that there is some scariness inside. Great illustrations.

  9. Is there something special about the Scary Story books, or do the lots generally go for that amount?

    1. I don't know what is special about the Scary Story books. I was surprised myself to see how much they sold for. Maybe they were just really popular at the time they came out and are a thing of nostalgia for kids that read them then?? I'm guessing that they are out of print, though I didn't check.
