My Dream Store
This is a silly post in which I pretend I have unlimited funds to outfit my career as a reseller. Some of these links are affiliate links which means I would make a few cents should you have enough money to actually purchase my frivolous wants. There are a lot of more practical things I'd buy before these things like more shelves, a light tent etc but these make me smile. Feel free to add your own wish list in the comment section.
These pink poly mailers are from Amazon. They really aren't that expensive. Maybe I'll pick them up as a little treat for myself. Aren't they pretty?
And to go with the bags I'd have to have
Wouldn't you have a better day using the packing tape below? I know I would. I'd probably freak the postal worker out though. Maybe he'd have a better day too.
Or this tape. I would just get them all.
This organizer I'd put in the back of car to keep all my purchases upright and easy to carry. I think I'd probably need two or three of these.
Next I'd get a customized rubber stamp to create thank you notes or stamp on a packing slip

I might also need this chair. I love how it looks but it's made with bungie cords. Although it's rated well how comfortable can bungie cords be? I may have to string some over my existing chair first for a test run before shelling out the $350 for this chair. Doesn't it look cool though? And anything 'Euro' has to be great.
What would you buy if you had unlimited funds for supplies?
Come back tomorrow. I'll be doing a video tutorial for a new to me selling tool I discovered on ebay. It's something that has probably been around a while but I'd never really used it to it's full advantage before. I'm hoping it will help me get some buyers to buy multiple items. Sort of like the checkout counter at the store with it's temptations of magazines, candy and gum.
Enough fun. Must get to work.

KISS Tshirt
Edited To Add: With the help of folks on Scavenger Life I figured out that the tshirt is not true vintage. Thank you to everyone here and there for your help :)
Are there any experts on band shirts in my readers? I bought this KISS tshirt. It looks like vintage 80s or 90s to me but it could be one of those fake vintage 'look'. I couldn't find another KISS tshirt like it on ebay or Google images but there were so many I didn't actually look through them all. Just wondering if maybe it has some value. So if you have any advice please share!

Sales picked up after my last post. I was relieved somewhat. I'm still working on setting up the parameters for my listing experiment. I got lots of great feedback from you all.

What's Been Going On In My Store Lately
I think you get the picture..
I had one sale on ebay since Sunday. Yesterday. So I went multiple days with 0 sales. Hard to stay upbeat I'm sure you all can understand. I did have one sale on etsy as well which was nice. I have listed every day on ebay but still crickets. I'm hoping things pick up this weekend.
I've been going through my store, category by category, and removing free shipping on the listings that still have it. Although I haven't been using free shipping for a while I still have quite a few old listings that offer free shipping. I'll be slowly going through all of them and taking it out.
Lastly, today I had a crazy wacky idea. I should probably keep it to myself it's so crazy :) So I believe what some other people believe, that the more you list the more you sell. Not just because you have more stuff to sell but I believe the ebay algorithm rewards you for listing. I'm a solo artist. I don't have a partner to help me with listing and I'm more like that turtle up there than I am a hare when it comes to listing. I normally reach a high of about 5 items a day. Sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. I'd like to do 10 or more every day but with all things as they are I don't think that will happen unless I really push myself and I just don't see that happening on a daily basis. So here is where the crazy comes in. This morning I thought to myself, what if I could find an item that is cheap, easy to list, easy to ship and easy and reliable to source. I wouldn't be selling it to make any real money but because I can list it quickly and get my daily listings up to 10 or more. So what do you think? I haven't thought of the item(s) yet but I'm thinking maybe something from the dollar store. If you have any ideas let me know in the comments. And let me know what you think of my idea. I know it's not Scavenger Life style but I am trying to think way outside the box. Doing my taxes was eye opening when I saw my profit for the year. Although it increased since last year it is not cutting it. Not for all the work involved. Yet, I don't want to give up. I enjoy this way of life. I want to make it work!
The one lonely item that sold. It's a high school yearbook. Sold for $19.99 free shipping. I probably paid a buck for it.

Shipping Boxes
I was placing an order for shipping supplies yesterday and I thought it might be useful to show the USPS free shipping supplies that I use most often. I started out mainly using the flat rate supplies but now have branched out and added a few others as favorites. So without further ado.
The box on the left is called the shoe box and as its name implies is perfect for shoes. I use it all the time for that but for many other items as well. The box next to it on the right measures 7 x 7 x 6 and is the perfect size for most mugs.
Next is the Tyvek mailer. They are pretty indestructible. I like them for added strength when sending something in a polymailer especially overseas. If it's going priority I'll throw it in the Tyvek mailer. I could use a box to provide the extra strength but that adds weight.
I use the next two a lot. They are similar in size to a medium flat rate box but cheaper if your item is light than paying the medium flat rate price.
Lastly I use this large box quite a bit. As it's name implies it is a nice large box. It is a little bigger than the Large Flat Rate and almost always cheaper depending again on the weight of your item. You can always compare when you do your shipping.
I never realized how many boxes were available free and how much I would use them once I figured out when they worked best. I usually offer my customer Parcel Select, Priority or Priority Express. On their end Parcel Select is usually the best deal and what they usually choose. On my end with my shipping discount Priority is usually a little cheaper or just a little more expensive. So the customer gets a free upgrade and I get to use free boxes!
Do you use the free shipping boxes USPS offers? Let me know if you have a favorite that I've left out. And Happy Easter. I hope the Easter Bunny left you something good.

BOLO Tiny Toon Adventures Buster Bunny
I went to a church rummage sale today. There wasn't much except really good bakery but I picked up this Buster Bunny plush new in its original box. I didn't know the toy but it was only a dollar so I picked it up. When I got home I researched and found out that the plush from this cartoon are pretty collectable. The cartoon is pretty funny as well. Here is a link to the completeds on ebay. Have you seen Tiny Toons?
I'm really interested in the conversation that has been going on over at Scavenger Life regarding Search Engine Keywords in your ebay store. I have edited all of mine and have noticed an increase in traffic and have quickly sold several items, some that have been listed 3 yrs, when I added them as search engine keywords. A caller also inquired about this topic on Ebay Radio recently. Griff had no idea what she was talking about and said he would find out about it. Have you been reading along about this topic? What are your thoughts?
