Update on My Goal for the Year

My goal at the beginning of the year was to get my listed inventory to 1000 by the end of the year. In January I was at 500 something. I'm on track! Slightly ahead of schedule. I'm at 722 today and need to be at 750 by the end of June. No problem. I'm shooting for 800. So I'm on track to hit 1000 by the end of the year.  Did you set business goals in January? How is your progress?

  1. my goals this year was 1,000 listings. I can't quite get above 600. The more above 600 i get the faster things sell. Good problem to have I guess. I wanted to pay off my business CC. it was at 7500 got it down to 5500 and then it came to a screeching halt as my hubby is on disability so we are squirreling away the profit in case (between him and a special needs child our medical bills right now are through the roof). Wanted to pay off the business van too (2750) but i think that may end up being next year.

    1. I'm glad to hear good sales are keeping you from gaining inventory! Unfortunately I'm not having the same problem. I think I need to list more every day. Right now I list 4-7 items a day which doesn't seem like enough. And that's great that you paid off part of your CC debt. Hope your sales continue to do well :)

  2. Nice sales! I also set a goal of 1000. I'm around 650, but like mrs4jachi, the more I list, the more I sell. I'm listing like crazy, but it's hard to make that number climb quickly when you're also selling. I'm not complaining!! :)

  4. Nice flip on the Clifford! I have a lot to learn about plush, so I'll keep my eye out for this guy.

    1. I don't know a lot about plush either. Am still learning. I do pick up anything LARGE. Especially if it is a character from a tv show or movie. At my Goodwill most of the plush are .49 so not too much of a risk. Clifford was about 2 ft long.

  5. Oye, I have no luck on eBay AT ALL. I'm tempted to switch all my merch over there to see what happens but it's a lot of money and the sales don't tend to pan out for me there. Hmm. Love seeing your sales updates though, very encouraging.

    1. You have to list consistently and build up a decent inventory on ebay to make sales. No luck involved ;)

  6. I also set a goal of reaching 1000 listings this year. I've been hovering just under 900 for awhile now. I wish I could say I have the problem of too many sales, but unfortunately this month I just haven't been listing as much as I should.

    1. Wow. You'll make it for sure. I'd like to be listing about 10 things a day but it's not happening. I'm working on it though.

  7. You guys rock with your listings. Working full time at another business makes it kind of hard, but I did double my listings this year. Went from 70ish to 155..LOL.
