Editing Photos

Really??

This is an actual ebay listing.

We all probably have piles but have you ever considered leaving them in your photo? Is this a marketing technique I haven't tried LOL. Good thing they have the mannequin. It's so much more professional ;)

  1. OMG! What on earth were they thinking?

I have an expensive brand of clothing that I like, so I've saved a search on eBay. The listings with really terrible pictures are the ones that I'm likely to buy - for a fraction of what the seller would have gotten if they had done a better job with their photos. Needless to say I'm pretty darned careful about the pictures on the items I sell!

    1. That's the thing. They are losing money with their bad photos but we savvy buyers are getting a good deal. Even my worst photos when I started didn't show my piles!

  2. Wow! I don't have a fancy mannequin, but I do try to have a clean solid color background.

  4. Funny. I see craigslist ads for sofas with huge dogs lounging all over them. I'm really going to buy that smelly thing! Ha ha.

  5. I saw a listing once with a shirt on the dirtiest, most disgusting, mannequin I've ever seen. Still sold for top money. WTH?

  8. I'm curious..did she sell for top dollar or not? You never know.. LOL I would be embarrassed to show a photo like that.

    1. It hasn't sold yet. It's listed for only 12.99. I just went back to check the price and saw this in the description: Listing Created by __________ Senior Women's Apparel Photographer, ____________. I took the name out to preserve their dignity ;)

  9. I don't like it when I see feet in the pictures lol. Someone will arrange an item on the floor to take a picture and not crop out their bare feet, ugly toes, shoe tips etc.
