My Best Sales This Week and My First Etsy Sale

Sales picked up this week. My sales were about double what I usually reach. Yeah! Below are my best.

Framed signed art print. Paid $3. Sold for $29.99 plus shipping. $3 of that sale went to a Mission Fish Charity.

Koala Salt and Pepper Shakers. Paid 50 cents. Sold for $29.99 plus shipping.

Serengeti Sunglasses. Paid $1.99. Sold for $65 plus shipping.

And I was kind of excited this morning to get my first Etsy sale. This vintage little girl lamp.  Paid under $5. Sold for $39.99 plus shipping. Isn't she cute?

So now I've had one sale each at Bonanza and etsy in about 6 weeks. Obviously not going to replace an ebay income but it's something. I've got less than 15 items on etsy and 900 on Bonanza. All are from my ebay inventory. No original items. I'll keep listing in both places. It doesn't take much time or money. How have your Bonanza and etsy sales been?

  1. Kind of excited?! It's OK to be SUPER EXCITED about your first Etsy sale! I had my first sale this summer after waiting EIGHT years to open. Problem was I couldn't YELL or SCREAM from the rooftops because I didn't find out until I happened to look at my shop in the middle of the night (or so) and everyone I knew was asleep. I was HIGH off that sale for days!! CONGRATULATIONS!

(PS - I've only had four Etsy sales total as I've done no marketing whatsoever. But every sale gives me that high! Too busy sourcing when I really should be listing. )

    1. Hi Ree Cee. It took me years to open my etsy store too! LOL. I took forever deciding what to call it.

The only 'marketing' I do, and it's not really marketing is I look at other peoples items and favorite certain items or their shops. Hopefully some of them then go look at my store and like something and favorite it. That's it. My entire marketing scheme ;)

    2. Hey Ree Cee. I clicked on your name to see if you had your etsy store listed and I was going to go favorite you. Have you ever thought of listing it in your profile?

    3. Awwwwww - you are so sweet to offer to do that!!! I'm a little gun shy right now about putting it out there in blogland until I figure out where I'm heading. I just favorited you - hopefully you'll see me that way : )

  2. No sales on Etsy. Just favorites mostly and I got another review. That's 5 so far and all are 5 stars. Yay!

    1. That's great Lorraine. I hope I get a review too. Is that the same as feedback?

  3. I LOVE those koala S&P shakers!!! Sooo cute. I've sold some stuff on etsy I've had like 11 sales in 5 years.. but much of that time I didn't have anything listed - most notably I sold a bunch of pine cones from my mom's yard - I don't have anything listed on etsy right now.

    1. I got those salt and pepper shakers at a church sale. There was a ton of koala bear items and I bought several things. I think this is my first sale from that. The shakers are made in Australia.

I love that you sold pine cones from your mom's yard. That is true scavenger style.
